Catalog description

This course will explore the nutrient needs of various stages in the lifespan, including nutrition during preconception, pregnancy and lactation, infant nutrition, childhood and adolescence, and adult and older adults. The course will provide students with an understanding of metabolic demands and nutritional requirements and introduce evidence relating nutrients, diet, and lifestyle-related factors to health and chronic disease prevention.
