Catalog description

This course prepares students to understand the sociological, political, financial, and cultural aspects of nutrition. There is a focus on how food security, public policy, and cultural practices impact an individual’s nutritional status. Additionally, nutrition promotion within communities is emphasized through the lens of the socioecological model.
