Exploring Music Fundamentals Through Movement

In this course students learn the components of music such as rhythm, melody, harmony, dynamics, phrase and form through physical movement of the body. By listening, responding and improvising, students build skills of musical memory, quick response, pattern recognition, and physical coordination. Outcomes include the physical, mental, and emotional understanding of the relationship between music and the physical properties that determine our world.
