Basic Vocal Techniques for the Singer

Catalog description

This course will explore the fundamentals of vocal performance through a survey of various established methodologies and practices. Studies will include an exploration of breathing techniques, proper tone production, diction, repertoire development, and stylistic interpretation. The course will culminate with a series of vocal performances which will be recorded and assessed. Students are not required to have any background in music or vocal performance to participate in this course.
