Foundations of Multicultural Education

Catalog description

This course introduced students to Multicultural Education and social justice theory and practice with a special emphasis on content integration, cross-cultural competencies, and the structural (political, economic, social) and psychological dimensions of oppression and their impact of teaching and learning, critical pedagogy, and the transformation of curriculum. Students will learn strategies to work with linguistically diverse learners.
