Catalog description

Internship provides participants with the opportunity to work in a real-world setting, such as those serving infants, toddlers, and pre-school children, where they are able to transfer theory into practice. The internship or field placement is the equivalent of about 150 hours of supervised activities in a preschool or other early childhood education setting. Participants’ involvement during the 150 hours may include but are not limited to, supervised observation, assessment, and documentation, one-on-one work with a child, leading interactive group activities, and serving as a point person in a specific domain (such as STREAM).
