The course focuses on the developmental impact of children 0-6 years of age. Discussion focuses on the historical perspective of child development and its impact on indicators such as physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Emphasis is on its relationship to the field of human services, the delivery of services, and the development of professional providers. This course is a prerequisite for all courses in the early child development concentration.
