Jazz Technique and Theory III

Catalog description

Designed for the intermediate to advanced dancers, this course provides an intensive experience in various styles of American jazz dance. It traces the origins of jazz dance from the merger of African, European aesthetics and American social dance forms. Learning experiences include technique class two times a week plus some dance viewing and discussion. This course fulfills one of the selective requirements for the dance major.
