Catalog description

This course is a survey of the fundamental concepts and principles of the immune system. Special attention is given to the components of the immune system and how these components work together to fight pathogens. Autoimmune disease, immunodeficiencies, and cancer, as well as pathological consequences of immunity resulting from normal functioning of the system and from improper functioning of the immune-response-regulating system, will be discussed.
