Catalog description

This course is an introduction to organisms, the relationship of organisms to one another and their interactions with their environment. Students learn to recognize the similarities and differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, from unicellular to multicellular species. Organismal form and function are discussed and environmental and organismal interrelationships are identified. Students end the semester by discussing biotic and abiotic factors that play a role in diversity.
