Catalog description

This course is an introduction to cellular and molecular biology topics. Students begin to examine the foundation of biology, including the basic building blocks of life as well as the structure and function of cells. Students start to identify how cells use DNA to make protein and to understand protein function. Students end the semester by briefly discussing cellular division, genes and how traits are passed on from one generation to the next.
