This class explores the history, evolution, and application of Trauma Informed Care in clinical settings. Art therapy approaches and applications of Trauma Informed Care with a variety of populations is woven throughout the course with a relational model. A review of the connections between holocaust studies and art therapy theory is highlighted. The process of translating trauma informed art therapy theories into practice is the core of this course as well as best practice recommendations.
