Advanced Professional Practices

Catalog description

This course will give students a greater understanding of the preparation necessary to establishing themselves professionally following the completion of their undergraduate program. As part of this preparation, students will research, propose, and develop a coherent body of work which they will present to art/design faculty and non-dept. faculty or professionals at an end of semester critique. Upon completion of this course, students have articulated and contextualized their work within art/design history and the contemporary art and design scenes, and presented preliminary work related to their researched proposal to be further developed for exhibition in their final spring semester.
