Big Data in Sport Science

Catalog description

In this course, students will be introduced to big data computing, analysis, and visualization applications in modern sport science. Central topics of this course include data pre-processing, descriptive and inferential statistics, data reduction, and data visualization. Coverage of inferential statistics will include correlation, regression, classification methods, and an introduction to machine learning. Students will propose, execute, and present a big data project.
