Introduction to Addiction Studies

Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to Addictions Studies (ADST). Course goals include building a pharmacological knowledge of substances, as well as analyzing systems intended to offer identification, intervention, prevention, and treatment. The relationship between high risk populations and addictions is explored. Emphasis includes the identification and application of various theoretical models used in addiction services.
