Catalog description

This course is an examination of the origin and evolution of the human family as asocial institution. Consideration will be given to traditional family types with special emphasis on the structure and function of the American family. It offers analyses of courtship patterns, marriage and the family forms, relationships and functions, and socio-cultural differences in family.
