Catalog description

This is an introductory-level course designed to familiarize students with concepts in social work. This course is appropriate for students considering careers as social workers and will explore the profession’shistory and purpose, and provide abroad introduction to generalist social work practice. Students will become familiar with the profession’scode of ethics, values, and current areas of focus. Students will learn about social work practice applications in micro, mezzo, and macro areas of practice.
