Catalog description

In depth and eventual total immersion exposure to American Sign Language for the development of beginning-level communication skills used with deaf persons. Focus is on building sign vocabulary, fingerspelling, grammar and syntax rules, non-manual markers, appropriate hand shapes and movement, use of personal space and the development of sensitivity and awareness through required socialization with the deaf community.
