Catalog description

This course examines the ways in which people think about, influence, and relate to one another, or how the individual affects and is affected by his or her social world. Acentral goal of the course is to improve human relations by focusing on social and political disadvantages of race, ethnicity, gender and other issues. Overall, the course will emphasize current theory and research in social psychology, as well as the development of critical thinking skills that can be applied to both theory and research methodology.
