The Medical Surgical Nursing II course is designed to enhance the student’sability to safely care for the medical/surgical patient using the nursing process and effective communication. The student will learn how to integrate their knowledge and skills obtained from Medical Surgical Nursing Iwith new content that is covered in this course. Health promotion, pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, nursing considerations and treatments will be discussed in the following disease processes, neurology, respiratory, cardiovascular, renal and endocrine. Course delivered in 8-week module (6 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab per week.
