Catalog description
This course prepares students to perform simple and basic nursing functions utilized in avariety of health care settings. It includes classroom and lab Course Description Guide (continued) preparation for clinical application. Skills include personal care, infection control, safety measures, proper body mechanics, vital signs and patient nutrition. This course can be articulated for students who are Illinois certified nurse assistants. Course delivered in four-week module (four hours classroom, 8 hours lab per week).
