Catalog description
This course introduces students to sources of United States law, civil and criminal processes, legal terminology, and ahistory of common law. Students will examine the role of the paralegal in the legal system and discuss the ethics, regulations, and professional responsibilities involved in their roles as paralegals. Students will learn to read and brief legal cases. They will also be introduced to legal analysis and basic legal concepts in substantive areas of law.
