Clinical Internship II

Catalog description
This course is the second of two clinical education experiences that provides students an opportunity to practice patient care and medical surgical techniques under the supervision of acertified medical surgical technologist. Students practice procedures and techniques at ahealthcare facility to include specialty surgical procedures. This clinical education experience includes 30-40 hours per week, for eight weeks, for amaximum total of 320 hours to achieve atotal of 120 cases throughout the program. This course provides students an opportunity to participate in first and second scrub roles as appropriate. Clinical instructors in the healthcare facilities to which the students are assigned provide student supervision.
