Catalog description

This is the first of athree-course sequence providing an in-depth sequential study of surgical technology needed throughout operative care. The didactic and laboratory experiences in this course will focus on pre-operative preparation and patient care, including pathological surgical case management. Students will have an opportunity to determine and practice the processes to implement surgical attire, establish asterile field, demonstrate surgical counts, and physically prepare apatient for surgery.
