Introduction To Journalism

Catalog description

Astudy of the basic principles of news gathering, reporting, interviewing and writing. The course examines the following: the idea of news writing; types Course Description Guide (continued) of journalistic articles; lead writing techniques; ethical issues in journalism; the application of research methods, including the use of library and online sources; and the types of publications which use journalistic writing. Students write basic stories under real-time constraints.
