General Education Statistics

Catalog description

The following concepts and statistical techniques are included: organization, presentation, and description of quantitative data (graphical methods and numerical methods); probability and probability distributions; sampling and statistical inferences (interval estimation and hypothesis testing); and correlation and regression. Students will be required to use agraphing Course Description Guide (continued) calculator and astatistical software package, as recommended by the instructor, in this course. This course is designed for transfer students in Liberal Arts. Students may receive credit for only one of the following: MATH 107, MATH 191, or BUS 205.
