Introduction to Educational Technology

Catalog description
This course is designed to prepare pre-service and in-service educators educators to integrate current and emerging educational technologies into instruction. Through this hands-on, project-based course, students will explore the theory and practice of digital pedagogy, including tools such as artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality, multimedia design, mobile applications, and online learning platforms. Emphasis will be placed on evaluating instructional technologies for effectiveness, accessibility, ethics, and equity. Educators will also develop strategies for promoting digital citizenship, safeguarding student data privacy, and designing inclusive, technology-rich learning environments that adapt to the evolving needs of learners.
