Catalog description
This course is designed to introduce students to the history and evolution of public relations as aprofession. The course looks at the range of responsibilities and functions that public relations practitioners assume in avariety of organizational structures as well as the significant issues and trends that will continue to influence the practice of public relations in the future. Through lectures, discussions, activities and assignments, students will learn about the history and theories of public relations and ultimately have abetter understanding of current public relations practices.
