Catalog description
This course is designed primarily for students planning to pursue abaccalaureate degree with amajor in afield of business. It covers the basics of management information systems from abusiness perspective. Hardware, operating systems, and applications software used in business enterprises are described. The course also discusses the role of the internet, World Wide Web and e-commerce in modern business enterprises. It introduces application software offered in popular business computer packages, including word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and presentation software, and provides students with alimited amount of hands-on experience with this software.
