Art History I: Prehistoric-Gothic

Catalog description

This course is asurvey of the historical progression of European and near Eastern Art covering Prehistoric, Egyptian, the Ancient New East, Aegean, Greek, Etruscan, Roman, Early Christian, Medieval, Romanesque, and Gothic art. Various samples of art from each artistic style will be critically observed and analyzed as they connect to and impact societal beliefs and norms. The course will utilize large screen projection, Power Points, DVDs, lectures, discussions, and amuseum trip.
