Acourse designed to appeal to law-enforcement officers, pre-law enforcement students, educators, civic leaders and concerned citizens who wish to gain new insights into the body of knowledge which regards delinquency and crime as social phenomena. The sociology of law, the conditions under which criminal laws develop, causes of crime and delinquency, and the control of crime and delinquency are examined within the framework of the criminal justice system and ademocratic society.
