Financial Accounting

Catalog description

This course introduces students to accounting as an information system that produces summary financial statements, primarily for users external to abusiness or other enterprise. Accounting terminology and concepts along with the analysis, recording, reporting, and interpretation of financial information are examined. Emphasis will be placed on accounting for current and long- term assets, current and long-term liabilities and stockholders’ equity, as well as the preparation, interpretation, and analyses of financial statements.
