This course equips graduates with a comprehensive understanding of evidence-based reading interventions for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities (LBLD). Grounded in current research and theories, graduates will develop practical instructional resources and strategies to enhance various aspects of students' reading abilities. Graduates will focus on areas of reading development such as phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, and fluency. The course also explores assessment techniques to inform instructional decisions and identify areas requiring targeted intervention, enabling graduates to support students in their reading development.
