World Sociology

Catalog description

This course introduces students to the fields of transnational and global sociology. Students explore how the beliefs and behaviors of social groups in one country can shape the circumstances of social groups in other countries. Students also examine how seemingly national social problems anywhere in the world can become matters of international or even global concern.
