Catalog description

This course explores the history and modern significance of some of the world's major legal traditions, including the common law, civil law, and international law traditions. Students compare and contrast the essential features of these and other legal traditions. In doing so, they explore what it means to "think like a lawyer" in the United States, in many foreign countries, and internationally.
