Catalog description

In this course, students will explore the religious, historical, philosophical, and ethical foundations of law and legal practice. They will examine the theories of jurisprudence to understand the evolution of the legal system in the United States. Through analysis of historical documents and events, case law, ethical dilemmas, laws that challenge ethics and morality, and a comparison with international legal traditions and justice models, students will evaluate professional conduct and defend positions on complex legal and moral issues.
