Catalog description

In this course, students will explore the foundations and evolution of criminal law in the United States. They will apply key legal principles to fact-based scenarios and examine how constitutional, common law, and defense doctrines shape outcomes. Students will also evaluate the policy and philosophical influences that inform justice, legal precedent, and the ongoing development of modern criminal law.
