Catalog description

In this course, students will examine how criminological theories and emerging crime trends shape criminal justice policies. They will apply evidence- and theory-based strategies to identify and address contemporary challenges to the criminal justice system. To address these challenges, students will analyze critical criminological theories, contemporary trends, data, and case studies to develop effective policy recommendations. Students will build and reinforce leadership and ethical decision-making skills through applied research and policy analysis, which prepares them to develop and implement effective, data-driven solutions.
