Catalog description

This introductory course is a multi-disciplinary exploration of the science and theory of bio-manufacturing, and specifically biofabrication. This interdisciplinary course will combine elements of biology and bioengineering into bio-inspired design and applications for biofabrication. The course will focus on students from engineering, biology, and business/economics programs working as cross-discipline teams. A series of design projects will be implemented utilizing bench-top cell techniques, bioengineering components, and concepts from business/financial and ethical dimensions of the industry.
