Catalog description

Through both lectures and lab-based coursework, students will explore the biological foundations and clinical applications of oncology and immunology; examining how the immune system interacts with cancer development, progression, and treatment. Students will explain key principles of cancer cell biology, mechanobiology, and disease progression. In this course, students will assess cancer cell morphology using contemporary lab techniques and develop communication skills through the presentation of laboratory findings and research. This course will help students to develop communication and critical thinking skills vital to lab-based careers and graduate coursework.
