Catalog description
In this intensive, project-based lab course, students will apply molecular biology and engineering theory to analyze biotechnological processes and solve industry-related challenges. Through hands-on work in biotechnology and regenerative medicine, students will design and test a functional bioreactor. Through scaffolded preparation, students will apply knowledge of cell cultures to assemble and test a working bioreactor system. Students will gain experience and develop skills in biomedical prototyping, lab techniques, and the full research and development lifecycle.
