Catalog description
In this course, students will explore the scientific study of human movement across the lifespan and within diverse populations. Students will investigate how the body’s systems interact to produce and control movement through lecture, discussion, and hands-on activities. Students will examine the anatomical, physiological, and biomechanical principles that govern physical activity, exercise, sport, and rehabilitation. They will also analyze key subfields such as exercise physiology, motor learning, and biomechanics, and connect foundational concepts to careers in health, fitness, sport, and therapeutic professions.
