In this course, students will explore the principles of prokaryotic and eukaryotic genetics with an emphasis on the molecular basis of heredity. Topics include the cell cycle, the central dogma of molecular biology, patterns of inheritance, and gene regulation. Students will apply insights from foundational genetic experiments to understand current research and relevant techniques in biotechnology.
