Catalog description

In this course, students will explore the role of aviation safety standards and practices across various professional roles and apply that knowledge to achieve aviation system safety. Students will evaluate aviation safety incident and accident reports through multidisciplinary analysis and evidence-based reasoning. They will also analyze human factors and decision-making processes to improve aviation safety and promote a culture of safety in the industry. Additionally, students will develop practical skills in Safety Management Systems and risk management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication, preparing them to enhance safety practices in a variety of aviation industry roles, such as aviation operations and management, air traffic management, and drone piloting.
