Register for one lecture section, the corresponding quiz section immediately following the lecture, and one laboratory section. Students must complete both the Chemistry Placement Exam and Mathematics Placement Exam within the past 24 months. Placement exams may be scheduled through: https://dornsife.usc.edu/languages/non-language-testing/. A minimum of 10 on the Chemistry Placement Exam is required for enrollment. Students with a score below 10 may enroll with an AP Chemistry score of 3 or higher. A minimum score of 11 on the Math Placement Exam is also required for enrollment. Questions regarding lecture waitlists (D sections) or placement exam results should be directed to [email protected]. Although this course satisfies a GE requirement, it is intended primarily for science majors and pre-professional students and serves as a foundational course in those curricula. As of July 13th, all 105a labs are on waitlist. Spaces that appear available may have already been offered to students from the waitlist.
