This course provides an introduction to integrating technology in the classroom. A world of ongoing tech- nological change invites us to rethink the ways tech- nology is used in K–12 schools. A knowledge-based, technology-driven global society demands that teachers and students possess new and expanded digital “life skills.” These new competencies have been summarized as “21st Century Skills” and the “ISTE Standards for Educators and Students.” Students will learn how digital tools and technologies can engage teachers and students while expanding their under- standing of academic material across the grade levels.
