Child Prerequisite: EDUC 1140 This course is designed to provide students with the natural and social science concepts that are taught in the early childhood and elementary classroom. This course will focus on the relevance of history and geography, the study of people, and the interaction of people with others and the world around them. The course will touch upon children’s sense of self and the importance of developing social skills. Strategies for engaging and empowering young learners to become active, democratic citizens will also be presented.
