Catalog description

This course introduces the student to anatomy and physiology related to cosmetology. Students will learn the basics of anatomical structure necessary to cosmetology servicing, as well as physiological factors that affect skin and hair. Topics include function, nutrition, and disease of hair, skin, and cells. Students will also learn care and maintenance of skin and hair health. Pre-requisite: Admittance into the Cosmetology Program (per Cosmetology handbook). (3 credit, 3 lecture, 0 lab)
