Catalog description

This course is a study of basic industrial skills required in manufacturing environments and allows the student to attain core credentials in the NCCER system. This course is designed for students to gain practical knowledge of principles of technology and gain comprehensive exposure to a variety of topics such as use of power tools, hand tools, material handling and equipment in an industrial setting. This course will assist students in using measuring devices, identification and use of fastening devices, tolerance & lubrication of industrial machinery, while focusing on proper safety practices associated with working in an industrial setting. (Offered in fall & spring)
