This course is a comprehensive introduction to basic financial accounting. This course covers recording, summarizing, and reporting cycle; principles of income measurement and asset valuation; accounting systems and controls. A grade of "C" or better is required before progressing to ACCO 2323 Principles of Accounting II. ACTS Equivalent Course Number = ACCT2003
